UNDER CONSTRUCTION related to Spider Kingdom Expansion Concept

Madragos, known as Madra when in his mortal guise, is a member of the blue dragonflight who acts as the flight's envoy to the Kirin Tor, with whom the blue dragons have allied in the wake of the Cataclysm. Relations are still strained between the Kirin Tor and the dragonflight that only a short time ago was devoted to exterminating them, but Madra is committed to the new peace between the blue dragons and the mortal races, and always strives to act in the best interests of both parties. Madra takes the form of a draenei male when interacting with members of the mortal races.

The Nexus Fractures[]

After Malygos was laid low by the red dragonflight and agents of the Alliance and the Horde, the blue dragonflight's control over the ley lines of Azeroth was lost. The released energy shockwaved throughout the blue flight's Nexus, damaging the fragile arcane mechanisms that had been containing the tremendous power of the ley lines. Many blue dragons were slain or driven mad by the release of energy, and hordes of arcane monstrosities and creatures of pure magical energy manifested out of the conflagration to cause further havoc. Madragos was one of the few blue dragons powerful enough to hold off the magical storms, and aided in the evacuation of his brethren from the Nexus.

The Cataclysm[]

Madra and the blue dragons regrouped at Wyrmrest Temple and the nearby azure dragonshrine, but before they could even begin to recover from their ordeals, greater disaster struck. Deathwing, the corrupt aspect of earth, unleashed a devastating cataclysm upon Azeroth, the destruction reaching even far off Northrend. The ley lines, already unstable due to Malygos's meddling, were further damaged by the destruction, and their power threatened to tear all of Northrend apart. Quickly convening with the Wyrmrest Accord, the blue dragonflight knew they had no choice but to join forces with mortal spell-casters in an effort to contain the damage.

The Malevolence[]

Together with agents of the Kirin Tor, Madra and his blue dragon brethren returned to Coldarra and established the fortress of Cobalt Hold, a staging point for reclaiming the shattered ruins of the Nexus. Madra and his forces have faced marauding arcane elementals, mystical creatures birthed by the ley lines realignment, and insane blue dragons driven by some strange evil force that has awakened in the wake of the Cataclysm. The insane blues have dubbed this dark force the Malevolence, and Madra has sworn to somehow destroy this evil, before madness consumes his entire flight once again.

Quests and Storylines[]

Players can find Madra after traveling from Amber Ledge to Cobalt Hold in the Borean Tundra, where he will begin the majority of quests in Coldarra. The first stage of the Coldarra quest chain will involve destroying hostile mana elementals and capturing insane blue dragons for rehabilitation. Next, players will aid Madra in defending Cobalt Hold against the undead Eregos, who has been revived as a wychwyrm under the control of the Malevolence.

After defeating Eregos, Madra and the forces of Cobalt Hold will move to retake the Nexus, only to find that the Twilight's Hammer have already captured the Oculus, and are attempting to exploit the energy of the damaged ley lines. The final step of the Coldarra quest chain is to aid Madra, in his blue dragon form, in battle against Zin'fanel of the Twilight's Hammer. Successful completion will force Zin'fanel to retreat and enable the blue dragonflight and the Kirin Tor to secure the Nexus.
