Starsurge is the signature ability of Balance Druids. It is a direct damage Spellstorm spell that is a major part of a Balance Druid's rotation. It is one of the three abilities ( [Starfire], Starsurge, and [Wrath]) that affect the Eclipse mechanic that Balance druids rely on as of patch 4.0.1.

Tips and Tactics

  • [Shooting Stars] is one of the most enjoyable talents that affects Starsurge. Remember to apply your DoTs!
  • If you are approaching an Eclipse, and Starsurge is off cooldown; hold off and cast either [Wrath] or [Starfire] (which ever is necessary) until you enter the Eclipse. This will yield to a slight DPS increase.
