Season 9

Arena Season 9 (Vicious) commenced on 14 December 2010, one week after the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and ended on June 28, 2011, the release of patch 4.2.0. Season 9 is notable for being the first season with rated battlegrounds. It also introduced some new features such as War Games, which are unrated battles set up between players for fun.

Rewards

• Bloodthirsty Gladiator items are longer available.
• Vicious Gladiator items can no longer be obtained from vendors, but some still drops from Argaloth (10/25 man) in Baradin Hold. These include: Cloak, Feet, Finger, Hands, Legs, Neck, Trinket and Belt.
• Glorious Vicious Gladiator items are longer available.
