Description

I came upon one of the Shao-Tien Soul-Render's daggers. It radiates a strong magic. I've been told it should allow you to enter their soul vortexes.

The mogu use these to harvest souls and bind them to their will, but I'm hoping you can use it to free the souls.

Enter any of the spirit vortexes you can find up on the Golden Stair, and free all the captive spirits you find.

Progress

The mogu are able to force pandaren spirits into inanimate objects and bend them to their will, but the spirits still yearn to be free. This may be the tool we need to offer them that freedom.

Notes

Head up to the Golden Stair. Purple Soul Vortexes are in a handful of fixed locations. Interact with one to be phased into the Spirit Void: "Partly immersed in the Spirit Void. Any interaction with the living will return the caster to the living world." The living phase mobs are still visible and can be interacted with, but they will not aggro across phases.

In the spirit void phase, Twisted Tormentors wander the area instead of mgou, and Captive Pandaren Spirits are hiding as best they can. The tormentors WILL aggro, so treat them as normal. Simply interact with the pandaren to free them.
