Poached Sunscale Salmon is an exceptional bit of food for melee characters. Poached Sunscale Salmon is generally most valuable during low level boss encounters that are health intensive such as Rend Blackhand, General Drakkisath and the Pre-Burning Crusade 5-man instances.

Notes
It should be noted that the health buff of this fish stacks with the Well Fed buff found on almost all other cooked foods. This in turn allowed players pre-Burning Crusade to consume more than one type of food in hopes of obtaining multiple buffs, most commonly for the purpose of raiding. Since the advent of level 70 its usefulness has greatly diminished despite the most succulent taste.
