Otters make their first appearance with the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria expansion. Otters swim by propelling themselves with their powerful tails and flexing their long bodies. Thus they are very fast in the water.[1] Otters are digging for clams to eat but when hungry enough they also eat crabs. The otters on the Shelf of Mazu are protected by law.[2] Civets are landbound cousins of the otters.[3]
