Obliterate is a Frost death knight ability that allows the death knight to deal high damage and is a staple in the arsenal of frost death knights.

Like a few other death knight abilities, Obliterate uses a percentage of weapon damage, and therefore packs a bigger punch with a 2-handed weapon.

Patch changes

• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now a Frost specialization ability. Weapon damage increased from 150% to 230%. Bonus damage removed.
  
• Patch 4.2.0 (2011-06-28): Obliterate base damage has been reduced to 150% weapon damage, down from 160%.
  
• Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Obliterate no longer consumes diseases.
