Janeiro's Point is a small island just outside Booty Bay, upon which a giant statue of a goblin with outstretched arms was built as a beacon to all travelers.

The Sea Giant Mok'rash the Cleaver has chosen the island as his abode.

Damage to the statue

This section concerns content exclusive to Cataclysm.

In World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, Janeiro's Point for the most part has taken little damage. The giant statue, however, is damaged; its left arm has been destroyed, allowing entry by flying mount into the statue. Inside is a small alcove filled with unlootable treasure and chests, however it does contain a quest reward after completing  [85H] A Shiny Reward.

Trivia

• The statue and its name is obviously a reference to the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, a symbol of the city and of the nation of Brazil.
