Dungeon Journal

This Twilight's Hammer courier is on a mission from the Bastion of Twilight. Should heroes overcome his fiery minions, Drahga will reveal a portent of doom for Azeroth's defenders.

Abilities

  • Drahga Shadowburner
    • Burning Shadowbolt — Inflicts 8000 Shadowflame damage.
    • Twilight Protection — Protected by the aura of the Twilight, Drahga takes 90% less damage!
    • Invocation of Flame — Summons a Invoked Flaming Spirit that fixates on a target. When the Spirit reaches its target it causes a Supernova, inflicting 50000 Fire damage in a 10 yard radius around the Spirit.
      • Supernova — The Invoked Flaming Sprit goes supernova and inflicts 50000 Fire damage and 2499 Fire damage every 1 sec to enemies within 10 yard radios for 8 sec. Cast when it reaches its target.
  • Valiona
    • Shredding Swipe — The brutal Shredding Swipe inflicts 100% weapon damage and tears a rift to the Twilight Realm. Next Melee
    • Valiona's Flame — Valiona's Flame Breath inflicts 25000 Shadow damage, knocking the target down from the impact.
    • Twilight Shift — Valiona shifts into the twilight, allowing her to escape without harm! Cast when she flees

Strategy

When Drahga yells INCINERATE THEM, MINIONS! or BY FIRE BE... BURNED!, a patch of fire appear on the ground. After a few seconds, an elemental will spawn at the patch and fixate on a random party member. If the elemental reaches the chosen party member, it will likely kill them. It is imperative that everyone moves away from the fire patch, DPS focuses on the elemental after it spawns (applying stuns and snares if possible), and the targeted person keeps away from the elemental until it is killed.

Eventually, Drahga will mount Valiona. During this phase everyone needs to stay out of Shredding Swipe (a ground-based AoE zone), and, on heroic difficulty, out of Valiona's frontal cone Devouring Flames. Note that Devouring Flames is cast in a random direction, so everyone needs to move out of its way. Drahga will continue casting fireballs at random party members and summoning elemental adds during this phase.

Trivia

  • Drahga's quote "BY FIRE BE...BURNED!" is a play on Ragnaros' famous quote BY FIRE BE PURGED! Likewise, the quote "You should have come better prepared!" is a play on Illidan's catchphrase.
  • Strangely both Drahga's voice and name sound more female than male. This might mean that he was meant to be a female but was changed into a male in the last development phase, and both voice and name remained, possibly due to an oversight.
