Wow, yet another year has gone by for WoW!
We wanted to thank you again for continuing to play World of Warcraft with us. With the return of a certain very large dragon, this has been a rough year for the world of Azeroth. On the other hand, that means heroes like you are needed more than ever.
Get out there and defend a shattered world!

Notes
- Due to a bug, the same letter was sent during the 8th Anniversary, even though Cataclysm was no longer the current expansion. The only change was the year in the subject line.[1]
- In addition to the experience and reputation boost, the buff also gave the appearance of wearing
[Contest Winner's Tabard]. - This item is not consumed when used.
- The buff does not persist through death.
- At the end of the event, the item is removed from characters, as it is only usable during the anniversary event. Characters who are still logged in at midnight on the last day will continue to have the item and use it until they hearth, port, or log out.
